This is new. Crying before bedtime?

Anyone elses LO doing this? This just started for us a few days ago but it's pretty intense and seemingly random. I think I remember reading that this can happen with LOs...

Re: This is new. Crying before bedtime?

  • This past week LO sleeps much lighter and wakes up crying when we put her down for the night after about 5-10 minutes a few times a night now... we have to calm her (exercise ball/pacing/feeding top-ups) and keep trying to get her down. Once she finally relents, she's out for 6 hours but it's a battle lately!!

  • YES!  Nathan started doing this a few weeks ago and would work himself into a fit!  I did some reading and found that as babies have more awake periods they can become overstimulated and then not able to calm down which then causes them to get overly tired and crying his how they deal with it.  Since then i have really been more aware of his tired cues (rubbing eyes, zoning out) and rock him with his paci at that point and he's out with no fussing!  Dont know if it's a bunch of bunk but it worked for me :)
