When you get pregnant after IF, at what point do you leave the RE and continue on with a regular OBGYN?
My RE's office told me they'd phone me at 1pm yesterday with my beta results. They never called. I should have expected it since their 'service' or whatever you want to call it is absolutely terrible.
I can't wait to be pregnant enough to get a doctor that isn't a robot!
So I guess I'm still waiting on my beta today.
Re: When do you leave the RE?
Thank you!
I am completely pissed. I phoned them twice and left two messages and they still haven't called me back to at least tell me what the eff is going on!
I have my first u/s at 7 weeks, so hopefully I'll be free of their incompetence then.
Started TTC 05.08
Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
DH: perfect
1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
1 FET in Aug 2013 = BFP!
I have an appt with for an u/s and a sit-down with my RE today. I'm hoping that - if everything goes well today - this is when she'll release me to my OB because I've already made my OB appt for next Wed (hehe) when I'll be 9w4d.
I've had an u/s every week since beta #2 and it's been awesome for the most part because I've gotten to watch him/her grow from week to week! I might just go through u/s withdrawals when I can't get one every week...is there such a thing?
It seems that every RE is a little different in this aspect, though. GL!
We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.

At 40w6d, our Team Green surprise came by unplanned C-section and changed our lives forever!
I had to have 2 normal u/s with them at 6 w and 8 w (last one was just yesterday) and then they released me to my ob. I have an appt with my ob next week at 9 1/2 weeks.
At the beginning (betas and stuff) they didnt tell me what would happen too far in advance - I think as a way of protecting their patients. They would always just tell me the next step - just one step at a time.
Good luck!
Ugh, I'm sorry they are being a pain !
To answer your question, I was relaeased @ appx 7 weeks after my 2nd u/s that showed a hb.

okay...this may be a silly question, but why can't you (you in general, not OP) just leave the RE whenever you want to if you aren't happy with their service? I love my RE, but I think that if I got KU and then really didn't want to go back, that nobody would be holding a gun to my head making me see the doctor. Is it just for insurance reasons? Maybe I'm jut anti wanting anyone to control me right now, but I would like to have the freedom to walk out the door when I wanted to....
I kind of sound like a meanie head, don't I? I really don't mean to...I'll blame it on the baby.
