walking/running

How much walking does everyone do??? I been walking 2 1/2 miles a day for 3 weeks now and I don't really see any difference plus I eat healthy.  Should I step it up to a couple more miles with some running also?

If you work in some short running intervals, I think it'll really change the overall workout.  Even if you start doing 1:00/5:00 splits between running and walking, it will really raise your overall cardio impact.   If one minute of running is tough, you can even start with thirty seconds every five minutes of walking.  It will still ramp up the routine.

  • Well you surely step it up if you can. But you need to be a bit more patient with the results. Give your body some time adjust to the walking and healthy food that you are having now and definitely with a disciplined regime, you?ll start noticing results in a couple of months. But generally speaking, I think about 3-4 kilometers (or 30 - 45 mins) everyday should be good, along with some stretching up and mild exercise.
