With my older daughter, we started at 4.5 months (per pedi) and she was ready. She loved them and took to them immediately. I'm on the fence with my second daughter. Pedi has okay'ed them but I'm in no rush. That said, she's given a few signals of interest lately. Am just curious how early / late others started theirs.
5 IUIs | 4 IVFs | 2 sweet little girls
Re: when did you introduce solids?
Because we're fancy like that.
4 months with #1, tried around 5.5months with #2 and she still wasn't ready. She actually didn't take to solids until after 8 months.
6/7 months..We started with Cheerios(watered down) and went from there. He LOVES food eats anything I put in front of him..and he got the hang of the pincher grab real easily to my surprise and we have had no real issues with food at all
I would do what your comfortable wtih.
Eli started on rice cereal around 3.5 and then some baby foods at 4....but he's a big kid and my doc always said to feed him more food....since we did he started sleeping much better
IVF #1 1/10-transfered 2 blasts- DS born 10/2010
March 2015- Chemical pg
1/25/16- BFP Beta1 12dpo = 17, Beta 2 14 dpo = 28.. resulted in one beautiful boy born 9/21/16
Now I'm a stay at home loving life and pursuing my love of photography!!!
We started at 4 months on recommendation of her pediatrician since she was gaining but dropped %. Luckily she was ready. Initially just with rice cereal that was pretty watered down then gradually added foods.
We did 4.5 months with pedi's encouragement for both boys. Even though DS2 was born a little early (which initially made me want to wait a bit), he was even more ready than his brother and LOVES to eat...haha!
Do whatever you're comfortable with and suits your baby.
