:snort: stop planning on when you're going to get pregnant, for starters.
What's that? You wanted a helpful answer, I'm sure. Well, I'd get off the pill, take your vitamins, drop the coke habit, put away the bong and start getting an idea of how your reproductive system really works.
Oh--and buy stock in stiff towels.
Little Man (4 years old---holy cow) He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be. He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.
prenatal vitamins are always good, and a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility and www.fertilityfriend.com are good resources.
Kittybits is wise. PNV's now! You don't need a Rx, any kind will do. You're looking for at least 800 mcg of Folic acid to prevent neural tube defects.
FertilityFriend is great, as is TCOYF. I totally thought I had always had regular periods off of bc and based on my knowledge at the time, that I ovulated on day 14. As it turns out, my 6th grade health education class, my OB, and my nursing degree have led me astray. We're all special snowflakes and ovulate at different times - only after charting can I feel confidant about when I O.

OP, take prenatals, read "TCOYF", check out fertilityfriend.com and lurk for a while on this board before posting again, it's probably not going to be a good fit for you.

My non-snarky advice: read the tutorials and sign up for fertility friend, buy a good basal body thermometer, buy a 50-pack of cheapie Wondfo OPK's from amazon, and start temping/charting NOW (while using a barrier method of BC until Aug/Sept). Get an idea of how your body works, learn your fertility signs, and make sure you're even ovulating. Then the rest will be luck as to when you get ku - there's about a 20% chance of it happening for you every month when you have well-timed sex. Most couples don't get that one-shot wonder but you could be in the minority.

This. Plus, be realistic that you might not get knocked up right away. It can take over a year for healthy couple to conceive. GL!
Are you by chance a teacher wanting a May/ June baby so you can be home all summer?

Unless you're one of the uber-lucky ones, it's going to take more than a month or two. Most of us have been trying for several months.. some years.
Figure out when you ovulate, take prenatals, eat healthy, get to a healthy weight, and take folic acid. I'd honestly start trying now.
