I just weighed myself. I have gained 10 lbs since I got pregnant. How did this happen?!?!? Guess i need to start hitting the gym again.
Anyone else in the same boat?
Now I am almost wishing I had experienced morning sickness!
Damn.

I haven't been on the scale but it may not be good. I think I may be in the same boat as you. Healthy foods sure didn't sound good but I am starting to get my appetite back and energy as well.
Depending on the day, I'm up anywhere from 7-10lbs. I've fallen back into my normal trap. If I'm feeling nauseous I eat and then I feel better. And what I eat may not always be the healthiest.
I've been working out (now that I'm back from vacation) 5 times a week. I'm hoping to keep it right at the 7-10lbs for the 1st trimester. There's no going back, but we can do better from here on out. Good luck.
I haven't weighed myself in a week but it's been a week exactly tomorrow since I've been to the gym. Working out has NOT been as easy as it was pre-preg. It is painfully difficult!! And not nearly as much fun as it was pre-preg.
I'm about to go to bed but I want to hear more about this Zumba thing. I saw a girl doing it on 16&preg today on the "where are they now" special. It looked like fun! And I know we're not really supposed to be taking up brand new workout things but since I've been sorta consistant about keeping active in my pregnancy so far I thought it might be a neat thing to do.
Can you get videos and do it in your own home? Or does it have to be done in a classroom setting? I'd love if you could give me something to read up on when I wake up tomorrow

TIA!

I have gained 7.5. I am only 9 weeks. oy.
It's starting to slow down. I lost a bit of weight at the beginning of the year. I am now at the weight I was when I got pg the other two times so part of me thinks my body just needed a bit more and that it will level out now. Guess we shall see. I hope to start walking more once the fatigue wears off. I am just too tired right now.

This is me too! I also agree that the constipation adds a couple pounds
I have been doing a good job of working out, and will just try to eat better when the m/s lessens (hopefully soon!) I know gaining weight is part of the deal, but I still would love to be one of those cute ladies who is all belly. Unfortunately my butt doesn't agree with that plan.

"But your baby wants you to gain a whole mess of weight!" (not so verbatim Knocked up reference LOL)
I feel your pain. I always blame at least 1 lb of weight gain per boob. I have a larger cup size to begin with, so I know it definitely counts for at least that much.
Just remember, you may hit a time period where you don't gain as much as fast and it'll probably all even out in the end. It's just one of the first of many sacrifices you make as a mother.
First your body, then your mind...then your heart!
