How do you organize your pics?

When it was just Ali, I kept all her pictures organized on my hard drive by her age--a new folder for each month. I've started the same system with Sam.

But where do I put pics of them together? Could just be the newborn-haze, but this has me stumped.

Moms with more than one kiddo...how do you organize your digital files?

I don't have more than one kid, but we organize by date so it's easy. I'm not good at separating by events or people.

We separate by year then by month. If I upload pics more than once a month, I'll make separate folders like "April Part 2." I had the same problem you did when I got a second dog, haha!

Can't speak from experience but, I've actually thought about it for the future! I say, keep doing the month/date thing. If in your head you are able to recall stuff by the date it happened then, stick with the dates. umm... sorry I'm not much help... more of a cheerleader! : )

I don't have a second kiddo, but we don't separate Kate's pictures from other pictures. I have a folder for each year, a folder for each month, and then a folder for each event. So Kate and I went to Baby Bloomers this morning. 2011-->June-->Children's Museum. I scrapbook (somewhat obsessively) so I want each event in a separate folder.

i do not separate them by who is in them. i have one folder per month for all personal photos
