UGG!!! Looking for Baby Shower Venue

Due to travel, we only have two dates available for a shower, both in June.  June, of course, is a huge wedding, graduation, conformation, etc. time.

We are only expecting 40-50 people, do any BostonBumpies have a recommendation for a venue.  I am looking in the Milton, Quincy, Braintree, Norwood, Dedham, Somerville areas.

I am happy to do a brunch or a late afternoon tea.  I would like to keep it to $20 per person if at all possible.  The Fox and Hound was my first choice, but they are booked :-)

  • check out the Common Market in Milton (my wedding shower was there) or Captain Fishbones at Marina Bay in Quincy

  • I would also suggest Marina Bay, not sure of the pricing but Waterclub has an upstairs area and the the new restaurant there, Port...something has an upstairs room, they both overlook the water and city. Phillips Colony House also does functions(Morrissey Blvd) and the Neighborhood House in Quincy.

  • I second Marina Bay - Port 305 being my top choice.  Beautiful views (and hopefully weather) in June.  Phillips Colony House does a great job w/ showers too.  They're just a little more "functiony".... GL!!

  • Thanks Everyone!!!  I have a call in to all of the places you recommended.

  • In Norwood there is the OCC, a restaurant where a lot of people have showers if you wanted to go the restaurant route. I like the idea of Marina Bay though, right on the water. Sounds nice!

  • I've been to Bon Caldo in Norwood for showers - very nice, though I don't know what it looks like pricing-wise.

My baby shower was at Fox & Hound in Quicy and it was very lovely.  The space was nice, the food was good and it was a very fun and pleasant experience.  It's also not the most expensive option.

  • Sky restaurant Norwood

Also I think you can rent out the rest at Showcase Cinema Delux

    Also Sherborn Inn
