Babies: 6 - 9 Months

I'm sure this has already been asked but...

what are you ladies offering for finger foods? and what in addition to baby food are you offering? So far, we have tried yogurt, puffs and all of the other "baby" finger foods. What are you feeding your 8 month olds? I'm drawing a blank as to what to try!

  • Baked potato, broccoli, toast, eggs, fruit, puffs, mum mums, crunchies, pretty much anything.

  • I've been wondering this, too. Does anyone else have a "chokey" baby? DD is 8 months old, and she gags/chokes on pretty much any type of table food I've given her. And I'm talking about like 2 grains of rice, or piece of pancake half the size of a pencil eraser. And this is even after like a minute of gumming it (she doesn't have any teeth yet). It's making me scared to death to give her anything but purees.

    Some of W's favorites are:

    - Banana, peeled and left whole he can eat an entire banana in less than 5 minutes

    - Toast smeared with fruit puree, french toast (made without egg white if you prefer), or grilled cheese cut into 4 strips

    - Plain noodles, mostaccioli seem to be the easiest for him to pick up and hold on to

    - Cheese, he has a hard time picking a slice up off his tray but if I put it in his hand for him he'll eat the whole thing. We're going to try cheese sticks this week
