Secondary IF

2.W.W.Dragging.

Here I sit, 10dpo.

I've given in and done some temping, but not consistently.

I took my last hCG booster on Saturday night.

If I temp on Thursday, I should know something then because my luteal phase is generally 13 days, so AF is due on Friday.

If no AF, I am supposed to be allowed to trust a hpt on *Sunday* and because I'll be in the middle of nowhere, I will bring with me progesterone and would start it then if I get a positive, and then get betas drawn on Monday when I am back in civilization, though the results might not be back until Tuesday. Then again Wednesday, this is all if things go well.

I hate this. Any normal person who doesn't need luteal hCG injections could reasonably start testing Wednesday.  And I won't know anything for certain for nearly a week after that. Grrr.

I most likely won't have internet access even on my phone, but I think I will have phone.  So I would text a friend from my local board who posted here for me last time when I was gone, too.

  • Ugh, the luteal hcg does make it drag on forever!  The one good thing about waiting to test is it usually means there's no squinting and guesswork when trying to look for that second line.  I hope your travels will distract you from thinking about it!

I really hope it distracts me.  Except that I have a gut feeling that my sister is pg (with her second, they were going to start trying late April) and is waiting to tell me in person.  So I really hope we have great news to celebrate together.  For her first, she POAS right before leaving town to visit us....

  • I'm so sorry that the 2WW is dragging for you!  Waiting 3 weeks instead of 2 has to be brutal!  I feel like my 2WW is dragging too, and I am 99% sure that it would be impossible for me to be pregnant this time, and I only have 2 weeks in my 2WW!  Try to keep yourself busy preparing for the vacation and then taking the vacation.  I hope it helps keep your mind off things.

Hang in there Jen, you can make it!!!  BTW, does being in the middle of nowhere mean you won't be able to log in on Sunday to let us know what the hpt says?  I'll be on pins and needles for you!
