At my 16 week appointment, my doctor measured my fundal height and commented that I was measuring ahead. I wish I would've asked how far ahead but I didn't think to. She then pushed around on my stomach a bit and said she was guessing it's because the baby is just really high up and not so much down in the lower part of my uterus. But she did say it's just a guess. I didn't think much of it but the comments I'm getting from people are starting to get to me. "Are you sure there aren't two in there? I can't believe you're only 17 weeks." and so on and so on. Here's the thing, I haven't gained any weight this pregnancy, I'm still at the same weight I was when I got pregnant so I know it's not just me getting huge because I'm not caring about what I eat. My doctor didn't seem concerned about the no weight gain yet at all and said there is still plenty of time for that. Anyone else measure big this early on? I unfortunately googled and got back placenta previa, GD, too much amniotic fluid and lots more. With DS #1, I was always measuring right on track from beginning to end. I have my 20 week ultrasound in two weeks so I guess I'll find out more then, just curious if anyone else had this!

Re: Measuring big in the 2nd trimester- anyone?
Because we're fancy like that.
Because we're fancy like that.
I measured rather large with my DS. At one point towards the end, I want to say I was measuring 4 weeks ahead. But midway, it may have only been one or two. Nothing was ever wrong. Never had GD, though I did fail the 1 hour. No excess fluid. He was just big. 10lbs 3oz when he was born at 39 weeks.
