I think people thought my boys would be very, very cold because I received well over 30 baby blankets--mostly the cotton ones from a store, not "special" ones. What do I do with them? I mean, there's probably not going to be a point in the future where they'll need them, right? I'm keeping one or two per kid--the ones they used the most--but what to do with the other 900 of them?

You could make 30 elephants.

Are you talking about the flannel recieving blanket kind of cotton ones? I took our stash of 20+ and cut them into snot rags
Soft on kids faces and removes snot effectively. Washable if you want, disposable if you want. I also used some with just water as disposable baby wipes when the girls have had a rash and I don't want to burn their bum with regular baby wipes.
Just blanket blankets? I'd probably give them to the animal shelter for puppies or something.
Great idea! I have a bazillion of these too.
That's adorable!!
But to answer your question - I say keep some to cut up, donate the rest.
