Hello! I was hoping some of you ladies could help me out.
Prior to my second m/c (9/2010) my cycles were like clockwork, every 30 days. My LP was 10-12 days. Following my second m/c my cycles initially (for first 2-3 months) back to clockwork. However since January they have been much shorter and unpredictable. Now I've been Oing around CD19 (confirmed initially with temps, now I just do OPKs). Spotting (which didn't occur prior to m/c) has now been occuring between 6-8 DPO. This month is started right at 6dpo.
I'm trying to find a new OB (was extremely dissatisfied with the lack of empathy I experienced during m/c). My last OB ran a series of blood tests (I know one was an antibody test and I think the other was a progesterone level) at my request after my last m/c. This was literally days after the m/c but all tests came back in normal limits.
I tried taking B6 to lengthen LP. It moved O date up by 2 days but I still started spotting at 6-8 dpo. I took Vitex for a month at 2 different points in the last 6 months but no changes.
thoughts?

Re: RP: short cycles, spotting at 6-8 dpo since 2nd m/c...thoughts?
Hmmm... I know your cycle can be out of wack for awhile after a m/c, but it's now been almost 9 months since your m/c.
Are you spotting consistently from 6-8dpo until AF comes?
How long have you been on B6? I know that with B6 and vitex it can take up to 3 months for it to work.
Otherwise, I have no thoughts and I hope you get this figured out soon!

The spotting between 6-8 dpo is consistent in that I can look forward to it pretty much every cycle (this currnent cycle it started at 6dpo and AF arrived 8dpo). Do I spot consistently between those 2 days, no. This cycle (TMI) I spotted almost every time I wiped on 6 dpo, then it stopped for awhile. On 7dpo I spotted once. This morning I spotted once before AF arrived (light but here). I typically define day 1 as the day I start needing a pad/tapon.
I haven't been taking B6 or vitex regularly. I used each one month separately and then one month combined. Perhaps I need to give it more time.
I have an appt with a new OB on 6/30 but I'm not sure what to expect.

Vitex is something that needs to build up in your system, so taking it one month won't exactly "do the trick." It is "nature's clomid" but that does not mean it works the same way as clomid does.
I would think about looking into an RE, if I was you. They are more specialized than OB's and more knowledgeable about this stuff.
I thought about looking into an RE. The problem is my insurance wont cover any fertility treatments. I'm hoping to start with my OB and see what they think. I'm hoping they will at least test my progesterone after I O and see if that's the problem.
Thank you for the information on vitex. I'm going to order more and start taking it for a couple months. Maybe that will help afterall.
Thank you again for the info.

PAL/PGAL Welcome
I second the PPs when I say you should go to an RE.
In my experience, ObGYNs' primary expertise is with well women exams and pregnant women. I too was extremely frustrated until I began seeing my RE. GL!
