1 is great, but the other is "eh" at best.  He'd be fine too, but he's married to a total wench from Hades and has begun to drift to the dark side since they got married.  I anticipate he'll become even tougher to deal with over the years.

  • I love one and their spouse, I have very ill feelings towards the other.

On my side- I used to be VERY close with my brother's wife, however, since Christmas, she's been a royal B and ignores me entirely.  No idea why- nothing to do with presents since I gave her exactly what she asked for- I'm just accepting it and moving on.

  • SIL #1 told me that her BF (now H) enjoyed the diaper she wore as a Halloween costume when I first met her (TMI!!!!) and either SIL#2 is a liar, or she clipped an African American male and yelled at him for walking at night before tossing him her phone # and driving away.  The boys will live with my side of the fam if anything happens...

  • Sometimes yes she can be an amazing sister... most of the time no... she thinks her family is a money train and when someone dies, or when she is in hard times she goes after everyone she thinks is rich in comparison to her.  We live paycheck to paycheck quite often.  Yes, we have savings... yes, we have a nice home... but we work for it.  And she equates money with love... if we give her money she loves us... if not... she threatens us.

  • And my brother's wife is amazing, I wish all my relatives were as sweet as her...I only thought of my husband's sister when you posted this...

  • DH's brother is a geeky computer programmer and we get along really well, but his sister is another story.  She is 10 years younger and very immature.  She married her HS boyfriend because he was going in the army at 18,and then dropped out of college her first year.  Then she proceeded to have multiple boyfriends while her husband was in Iraq!  She is a total drama queen and thinks she knows everything!  She is 20 and needs to grow up and realize that the world does not revolve around her!  Her husband is back from Iraq and they are still together, so I have no idea.  I really hate having to listen to her drama and so does DH, so at least we don't deal with her often!

DH's sister is a sweetheart.  She is completely oblivious about a lot, but she has a heart of gold.  She talks enough for three people, but I love her.  A really great benefit of our being overseas is that DH and his sister have become closer and talk a couple of times a week.  It has been nice.

Now, my brother was married to a horrible b!tch, but now they're divorced.  I'm happy to be rid of that particular SIL.

  • BIL drove me up the wall when he lived with me and DH for a few months, but he's grown up since then and I really like him now. One SIL can be occasionally crazy, but nothing really serious or threatening, just a little loony. My other two SILs are cool, but I honestly don't know them very well because I've seen them at most once a year (they live far away in places we don't travel to much).
