I'm already planning on calling my ob/gyn in the morning but I'm having some weird symptoms that I wanted to get your opinion on.  I'm having a dull pain in my right breast.  Not like when you are pg, swollen and all over tender.  Just a noticeable pain that is about two steps up from uncomfortable.  I don't feel any lumps or see anything on the outside that looks weird.  I should definitely call, right?  I'm 31, never had a mamogram and we have no hx of breast cancer in my family. 

But then also, for the second month in a row I'm spotting a little bit.  I've had the Mirena IUD since October '08 and other than a few months after I got it I have not had a period or really any spotting at all since then.  So far this month it seems like it's just normal, really light spotting.  But I will admit that last month was kind of bizzare, more like one really big (sorry, I think this is one of the most disgusting words in the English language) clot (gag) that was dark brown which I'm pretty sure just means it was old blood.  Right?

Anyway, I have also recently lost right around 20 lbs and I know that weight loss/gain can affect your cycle but I guess since I don't normally have a cycle I wasn't expecting anything to change. 

Sorry, I'm rambling. So what do y'all think? Call the doctor?

    Can't go wrong calling your doctor. Especially after your comment about the hot flashes on FB the other day. With your weight loss, the hormones in your Mirena could be affecting you differently. Hormonal birth control has always made me insane - so I quit taking it.

    Also, when I lost all that weight, weird things happened to me too - namely hair loss because I was experiencing some vitamin deficiencies.

    Agree, call the doctor. Having said that, I have had the mirena now since February and have had spotting everyday. Last week was the first week I went two whole days without.

    Then, started back up full swing again with the spotting. Yesterday morning I woke up with the nausea and still have it this morning plus my breasts are tender. Hoping I either ate something bad or this is a side affect.

    Hope you feel better.

    I would definitely call too.  With the mirena, that sounds normal to me.  From what I remember I think it is normal to have random spotting while on it.
