Ergo ?

in Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Does your 4 mo like the ergo? Can you put them on your back at this age? Do you still use the infant insert at this age?

 I need to find someway to strap this child to me or I am going to go insane and she hates the moby because it's too hot right now.

    DS was fine in the Ergo @ 4 months w/o the infant insert. He hates being on my back though so I'm not sure about that, sorry!

    infant insert is for under 12 pounds.

    o loves being in it, but i haven't tried the back carry yet.

    I had Molls in it without the infant insert at 4 months but she was 13 lbs..I never used the insert, she liked to frog leg it.  I haven't used back carry yet, I have side carried her and she's okay with that for a little, I will be trying the back carry soon.

    DS is fine in it w/out the insert.  I do roll a blanket up and put it under his butt so he sits up a little higher though.

    Yup...we've used ours for both and ehe loves it.  I honestly can't get much done with him on my back since I don't feel he is as supported....so I've used a woven wrap too...but it works great for us without the insert.

    I never used the insert and he's been just fine.  I haven't tried him in any position but the front though, so I can't help you with the back position.

    It should come in the mail tomorrow. I hope she likes it. 

    The reason I ask about the back thing is because my arms are so short I can't really work around babies when they are strapped to my front.

    I started DD in the ergo at about 3 months. She is now 5 and still really likes it. We nevered used the insert as she was over 12lbs when we started. I havent tried the back so dont have an answer on that one. Sorry

    DD loves the Ergo! We have never used an infant insert because she was already ~3 months old when we bought it. I haven't yet tried the back carry but was thinking I needed to over this past weekend!
