I was reluctant to post this, but at this point, I thought maybe I could reach out to all of you and see if anything happens.
In a nutshell: DH's company was recently bought out. At first they made it seem as if everyone would be safe and the companies were *merging*. Now, the story has changed and we're getting really nervous.
DH has been looking for a while and has had a few interviews and multiple calls from recruiters, but nothing is panning out, yet.
He works in IT. Mainly ERP, PeopleSoft (technical and functional), Project Management/Business Analysis.
If anyone knows of an opportunity at their work, or maybe even at SO's work, would you keep him in mind? I can send his resume to anyone that may have a lead:)
We're trying to stay positive! Thanks in advance!
ETA: He looked at Children's and the open positions there were for Peoplesoft Financials, and his expertise is in Peoplesoft HCM. I would love for him to work at Children's, though:(
Re: NBR: DH may be losing job...any help appreciated!
I work at Children's Hospital and we use PeopleSoft. I did a quick check and it looks like there are some job openings that may work for him. If you go to https://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/ and click on "careers" you can search by using People Soft as a keyword. It came up with tons of jobs but he will need to weed through them to see which fit the best. I do work in IT here, but I don't know how much help I will be. I could always pass his resume to the hiring manager once he applys on line, but that's about it. I've tried to help a few friends out looking for jobs and it's kinda hard (although I've never helped someone looking for an IT job, so maybe I'll have better luck!!)
Feel free to let me know which job numbers he does apply for and I'll give it my best.
I work for an IT consulting company too, we are in the Dayton area, but I'd be glad to send a resume or I can send you available jobs open and he can apply to whatever he may be fit for.

I would suggest Children's. My husband works there and they use PeopleSoft.
Thinking of you all.
Has he looked into jobs with Oracle (PeopleSoft products)?
Some of them require a large amount of travel, but some of them don't- it might be worth looking into. My mom has consulted with Oracle as well as PeopleSoft before Oracle bought them, and while she used to do a large amount of traveling, she now telecommutes most of the time.
Hopefully he can find something comparable to his current job with a lot more stability!
Thank you everybody! I am going to follow-up with some emails:) I really do appreciate all the responses!
I don't blame him in the least! She used to travel all.the.time (spending months/years in one locale). Her job title changed, and now she only travels a few times/year, but for a while she was always somewhere. She did very well consulting, but it definitely wore on her.
Ryan's company is contracted to do all the IT work for GE. He loves it there. I passed on your hubby's experience to him to see if he knows of any opportunities. He works in Blue Ash. I will get back to you soon. Thoughts and prayers with you as you go through this transition!!
