Baby girl name

Hi Ladies,

What do you all think of the name Lily? Besides the fact that it's getting very popular, are there any negatives you can think of? I thought I was set on Mila, but I've loved Lily for years and I can't get it out of my mind!

    I am a little partial to Mila :) but I think Lily is an adorable nn for Lillian.  It is definitely getting popular but if that doesn't bother you, I say go for it!  But I would make that be her nn rather than full name.

    We were thinking of Lily too! I don't find any negatives with the name. It is a beautiful name!

    Both are beautiful names.  Our girl's name choice is Liliana (nn: Lily) so I am obviously more partial to Lily.

    Both names are beautiful, and you really cannot go wrong.  However, consider this: do you want your daughter to go to school and to be called Lily X. (whatever your last name initial is)?  The name Lily truly is lovely, but as a result it is EXTREMELY popular.  If you go with a popular name, you have to be prepared for the potential of the last name initial thing: Lily X.

    There are so many beautiful names in the world, and Mila Elise is absolutely beautiful and unique.  I love it.
