It is a hard day. Thanks for the hugs. Ben was just 17 months old when my dad passed away and they were already big buddies. I always thought of him and Ben doing the things that he and I did while growing up..fishing, gardening, playing in the creek. Thankfully, my sweet DH does all these things with Ben. Love to all who have lost their dads.

My dad passed when I was young so it has really been a bittersweet year (two) celebrating Father's day for the first time in a very long time! I'm just so blessed to have a great DH who is a wonderful father and to be able to finally celebrate again!
Hugs ladies!

It has definitely helped me now that I can celebrate my DH and what a great dad he is to my kids! I still miss my dad terribly and hate that he died before walking me down the aisle and meeting my girls.
Hugs to all you other ladies who have lost your dad's...and/or mom's. Losing a parent is so difficult!

Re: Hugs to those of us who have lost our Dads...
Huge hugs for all those that lost their dads, whose dad's are ailing, or who never had the love of a dad.
Huge celebrations for those that are enjoying their first father day with their husband!
Well said!
After my Dad died, Father's Day sucked for years. Now it is nice to be able to share it with DH.
This!
Not enjoying my new status as a "club member" but, as with everything else, it's a little easier with G around.
