Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Seriously going to loose it

I am so tired. Have less then 2 hours sleep DD will be up in an hour and DS is still wide awake. Tried to put him in his room and turn off the monitor so I will only hear him if he is crying and DH is Fing snoring. Does he offer to get up just 20 mins early so I can have the possibility of 1 hr. No. I literally have tears streaming down my face.

  • It'll be ok.  TELL him you need him to wake up.  He's not a mind reader.  :)  Sometimes I forget that DH isn't a woman with a penis.  LOL!  So wake him up, and enjoy your hour.  It will help.

  • I'm sorry. (hugs)

You are a good mommy and are doing the best you can. Can you nap tomorrow? Errr later today?

Fwiw, I'm so frustrated with DS's sleep and my exhaustion that I broke down daily last week. And your handling this with two kids- I've only got one. You rock.

Plus they say it gets better.. (6 weeks into 4mw, I am skeptical, lol)

Cry some, then chin up and hang on. You can do this.

Oh and I agree. Wake his butt up and get a quick rest!

  • Hang in there! This was my DS two weeks ago. Like PP have said, wake your DH up. I did, and he was more than willing to get up, he had no idea how bad my night had actually been. I hope you get some sleep.

  • That was me yesterday.  Would be today but I'm so used to not sleeping that I can't feel emotions atm...

You probably have to tell him that you don't get sleep and would like some.  My H is clueless as to how much I'm up at night because he sleeps like a rock, then when I'm trying to lay back down he's rolled so that he takes up the whole bed...bedhog. lol

  • During maternity leave, H would watch Baby E during the hours between 8pm and midnight.  I would be guaranteed at least 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep.  It wasn't much, but it did make a big difference.

I'm sorry. On those nights, I put the monitor next to DH's ear and sleep downstairs.
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind." - Kurt Vonnegut
