did/can you take other child/children to MFM appointments?

I didn't have to take my DD with to any of my MFM appts. yet because she was in daycare but school is over and I'm off for the summer and don't have family close by to watch her while I go to appts. and its difficult for Dh to take time off work. So did you take your child to your MFM appointments? I did arrange for my mom to come in the weekend of my 20 week US appt. because I know that will be a long one.

My doctor didn't allow children under ten in the office. We did take my stepdaughter (14 at the time) to one scan because she wanted to see the babies.

i never took Griffin- but i don't think there's any rule that you can't - call the office to check... some do have rules about those kinds of things.

yeah- you don't want her there for the 20week... that was 2 hours for twins - will be close to 3 for trips for sure.... Dh was falling asleep during it - it was so long, boring and dark in the room Once you see the fun parts- the rest is so boring, lol.

Oh Thank you! I thought I was the only one! I started to cry during my 20 week scan because I was so uncomfortable on my back. Then I managed to doze off....

Mine has a pretty strict no-children rule. I go for the first time tomorrow, but in 2 phone calls they have stated this 3 times. So it must have just gotten out of control for them. I wouldn't imagine taking my 19 month old, though!

I took my son twice (DH was there as well though). He loved seeing the babies move around and actually fell asleep during one of the times. My MFM didn't seem to mind and actually now that I think about it I have seen kids in there from time to time. I would just call and ask.

Our peri's office did not allow children in the office at all. We either brought a friend/grandparent with us to watch him (they watched movies in the car) or my H stayed with him while I went in alone.

No, I always found a sitter. It was a PITA but it would have been a bigger PITA to be chasing after my kids (well, my toddler) and trying to talk to my doc and/or get a scan done.
