Success after IF

I was so glad to see a comment from you below somewhere about elena, because I was starting to feel like I'm doing something wrong. I know I have an extenuating circumstance with the body cast, but still...

So elena is also still waking up multiple times a night?

  • Sorry, I would have responded sooner, but she's awakened twice already...seriously!  She's awake right now right next to me, in fact.

Yeah, usually she wakes about 4 times a night.  The two middle ones are the ones that are really hard though.

I guess I just grin and bear it because I'm so thrilled that she NAPS!  Kira didn't nap until she was a year old, and she's never been regular at that.  Meanwhile Elena naps not once, not twice, but three times most days -- it's a small miracle.  It gives me sanity.

Elena is still sleeping in the bedside co-sleeper, but Plan A was to move her to the nursery last week at 6 months, and we just haven't done it yet.  It's just easier to have her in our room.  I'd move her tonight if I thought she'd sleep through one of her waking times, just for her sake!  She falls asleep next to me in bed, and technically I do too, but it's far from a sound sleep for me and I beg DH to move her if he sees her there.  It's not as bad if we move her back right away (i.e. in terms of how I feel the next day), but it'd still be nice to get more than 2-3 straight hours max a night.

    How about you? :)

  • Butting in, but I'll look for the original post below, too... Mine still wakes multiple times! Until recently, he was waking 5 times a night. In the past week he has dropped to 1-3 times a night. And actually, truth be told, he woke more than once but only ate once on that night that I'm counting as "one" waking...haha.
