Success after IF

Do you have to warm cow's milk?

Asha wasn't eating at all today so I just poured some milk out of the fridge into a sippy for her and she drank some cold...is this ok? Do you have to warm it if they like it cold? I.e is the warming just to make it more palatable or does it do anything specific medically?

  • I would boil it only if it's unpasteurized. However, unless you're getting your WCM fresh from a neighbor with a cow, chances are it already is. Enjoy it out the fridge. I prefer it better that way, to be honest.

  • Sometimes we even put ice in it because she likes the sound.  :)  But we never warmed her bottles either, so she's used to nice cold drinks.  :)

  • If she's willing to drink it cold, all the power to her.

My boys are spoiled by warm formula at DC, I've been working on getting them to drink colder formula (now that it's hot outside) and they will only take them room temp.
