moms using rice cereal for reflux

my LO has reflux and today at his 2 month check up she said to start putting a teaspoon full of cereal in his bottles. we use the playtex ventaire bottles with the slow nipples and he cant get anything out of them now with the cereal but i tried the fast nipples and its way too fast still and it comes out of his mouth as he is drjinking and he spits it right up b.c its too fast. what bottles do you use? i dont know what to do for him.

    Many dollars spent at Babies-R-Us later, we use Tommee Tippee with a size 2 nipple that I cut a tiny slit in.  It works perfect for our 1/2 tsp/oz ratio of oatmeal cereal (my pedi said rice cereal can constipate them, so he recommended oatmeal).

    We started Enfamil AR (added rice starch) last week and today finally went to BRU for the medium speed nipples for the Playtex Advanced Ventaire (Wide). I didn't see them online but they do sell them. We had the same issue moving to fast and I didn't want to buy all new bottles.

    We are using the Playtex drop-ins, medium flow nipple. The fast flow is a little too fast, but the medium is perfect for us.

    Emkatrine, i was looking for the tri-cut, but couldn't find them at our Target. Maybe if the medium flow stop working well, I'll go check out BRU.

    We use playtex Ventaire and Evenflo with the standard nipple and just cut a little bit of a slit in it. He does fine w/ that.

    thanks everyone, i made hole in the slow nipples a little bigger and it works good, i didnt know they made a medium for ventaire so ill have to look for them.
