Scraped knee help - gravel in it

Lucy fell today and landed pretty hard, scraped up both knees, yucky and bloody.  My brother is a cop with first responder training (and equipment) so he cleaned it all up, some gel soothing cream and a couple big band aids.  Took off the band aids this evening to check the damage (I wasn't there when it happened) and there is still some gravel in it.  I tried spraying some saline on it, then splashing water in the tub but no luck. 

Do I put her in the tub to soak or just keep it clean and let it work itself out?

    I think the bath will help maybe give her the wash cloth of loofa and see if she can wash it a little to help it out f she won't let you do it.  It seems like it should work it self out  - plus it's not like you're going to let it get all infected or anything.

    yeah, it's just a few tiny specs and I don't really feel like torturing her over it.  Plus, she's already being very dramatic about the whole thing, refusing to walk anywhere, limping etc.  I think it's going to be a long couple of days.
