I ran through most of my pregnancy and have read articles implying that it's safe to run before 6 weeks PPD if you feel good enough to do so and listen to your body..
I had a very fast, very easy labor and have been walking 2-4 miles daily since 4 days PPD. I haven't noticed an increase in bleeding because of it and am just incredibly anxious to run. Think I can manage a couple miles at a slower pace or should I wait it out?

Re: can I start running yet?
I felt like I could start running a week after I gave birth, but walked until my PP apppointment at 5 weeks. When I went in, the doc said to wait 3 more weeks....although I felt good enough to run he wasn't satified that I was ready from a physical standpoint. At 8 weeks PP, I started running again and was able to pretty much get back to where I had been in a few weeks. I finished a half marathon when J was 5 months.
After my experience, I would be a little cautious.
