first night out without baby and feeling irritable

We are supposed to see an outdoor Shakespeare show tonight with another couple, but its wet and cold and buggy out. And DH just informed me that we have to be there an hour ahead of time because they have some bizarre waiting list thing for tickets and I think its just lawn seating. So we'll be sitting in the wet buggy grass. I've also seen this play twice already, so its not that interesting.

 My DH is a theater critic and I was really looking forward to going to a play, since I haven't been to any since before LO was born, but now I don't feel like going especially since its going to be long and I don't feel like sitting for 3 hours outside when the weather sucks. Ugh, I wish our first night out was dinner instead of a play. or at least an inside play that was shorter.

    Are you allowed to take a bottle of wine? I had more fun the first few trips out after having a drink. I hope your night surprises you!

    I agree. I was really uptight my first night out...until I had a big ol' glass of wine. And another. Hope your night out is better than you're expecting!
