I'm just curious, if your LO looks more like you or DH did you find that child's personality also to be more similar to that parent? Like that set of gene's "won out"?
I'm just wondering because DD looks so much like me. Our moms say that we were both easy as babies and so is DD. I'm sort of wondering about when she gets older. DH and I have very different personalities (opposites attract!) so I wonder what she'll be like.

I dont think this applies at all.
My mother raised me by herself and we do not know who my biological father is. I look more like my uncle than anyone and do not share many personality traits with my mother (though I admire her greatly). The man my mother thought was my biological father was in my life for only 3 short years. I look somewhat like him and share more personality traits with him than I do my mother. A paternity test proved that he wasnt my father, but when I got back in contact with him a year ago, my two best friends were there when he and I met up. They kept saying, "Are you sure? Because you two look a lot alike, and act the same."
My half-sister looks like her father but acts quite a bit like our mother. My half-sister has had steady, consistent communication with her father's side of the family. They all have varying personalities and have had plenty of opportunity to influence her, yet she takes after our mother the most. Full of sass and snark, that one.
I think it's a toss up. I look like my mom, but I'm a pretty equal mix of personality traits from both mom and dad. Drew looks just like DH, but he seems to act more like I did at his age.
I was just curious. I had no idea.
Interesting answers! I had quite the will of steal as a child (still do!) so I'm hoping DD takes on a few of DH's laid back personality traits.
