Do you follow the age reccomendations for toys? Most of Izzy's toys she got for her b-day say 3+. They look harmless... like a Dora microphone. Not quite sure how thats a choking hazard?
I have been letting her play with them anyway...
If there was something that was an obvious choking risk I would hold back- but these toys all look harmless.
Do you follow these recommendations?

Re: age reccomendations for toys
Hellllll no!
I have no clue how they come up with some of the age ranges.
I figure you can always hold something back if you open it and see a danger with it but for the most part almost all of the toys and games my guys play with at this point have a 5 or 6 year age rating.
Heck. I can't even figure out how to transform a Transformer toy that my almost 5 yr old can do in 2.7 seconds. The age ranges need an exclusion on the top end when they're things that parents will struggle to figure out IMO!
I'd much rather err on the side of purchasing too advanced and sticking it on a shelf for a few months than getting them something that they'll only be interested in for a few months.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
Nah.
I look at the toy, then decide.
Viv's xylophone says 18 months+. Really? We gave it to her at 9 months and she LOVES it. It's her favorite toy right now. We showed her how to play it once and she picked it up immediately.
