Stop crying!!!!!!!

Jule is 14 weeks now. All he has done all day is cry. I really thought we were past this phase :/ He is fed, changed, has no hair wrapped around his fingers cutting off circulation, no temp and from what I can tell - nothing wrong with him. It's not too hot or too cold today. He doesn't want the swing, jumperoo, bouncer, play gym, tummy time, or to be held. GAH! WTH! Why do I have a fussy baby and everybody else seems to have an easy, calm, happy one?!

Re: Stop crying!!!!!!!

  • well, mine is usually a happy guy, until he gets tired.  If he skips a nap (refuses to sleep) it gets worse.  Yes, i've tried swaddling, the swing (works in the morning, not so much as the day goes on?) rocking, singing, wallks, the car.  Really, the only thing that works is if i go for a walk/ drive the car and keep going to keep him asleep!  My mom actually told me today (after she watched him while I was at a shower) that "something must be wrong with him if he doesn't sleep for longer than 30 min at a time". Ughhhh.

  • Try running the vacuum, the white noise seems to calm my LO right down!

    Hang in there!

  • After having a really long heart to heart with my pedi about DS constant crying he convienced he to walk away. The first day it wasn't the easiest but oh how much better he's gotten, it's not all day every single f'in day anymore. When he does get really bad, he gets put in his swing which I turn on and left alone for 5 minutes. If he's still crying, I pick him up hold him for one minute and put him back down. Start 5 minute timer again. I have yet to have to go for a third 5 minute interval but I wouldn't hesitate to.

  • have you checked for acid reflux?
  • All I can say is hang in there!!  I have a fussy baby too, and things have just started to get better.  It will get better for you, but it's so hard when there's nothing you can do to stop the crying.  You're doing great!
