Seven Hills in Anderson?

I've decided I don't want to go to Associates of Anderson since 2 of the 3 known midwives are leaving.  My next choice is a midwife at Seven Hills.  What can you tell me about the midwives/OBs at that location?

Re: Seven Hills in Anderson?

  • I absolutely love them!  I used the MW's there - Sue Holden delivered Jackson but I like them all.  Didn't have much interaction with the OB's but I know several of the ladies on here have.

  • I see Dr Fleming- I havent had a baby yet, but he's been fantastic, as well as his staff.

  • I've seen the midwives at Seven Hills for almost 10 years. I love them all. Trish delivered both of my boys. Even though I thought she was my least favorite, based on office visits alone, she was exactly what I needed in L&D. IMO, you can't go wrong.
  • I went to Group Health Assoc. before this and always saw my doc at every visit.  With midwives, do you see a specific one each time or do they rotate?  Just curious how it works at Seven Hills.

  • Hey Am! I have spoken with Holden during this pregnancy. She re-assured me that my high heart rate was ok before my PICC was just removed. I've seen all the doctors (Ortiz is my GYN) and love all of them. They are never in a hurry and answer all my questions. I HIGHLY recommend the docs at Seven Hills!

  • I see the doctors and I could go on for days about how helpful and understanding they have been with me, especially with this pregnancy. I have seen all the docs but my primary is Fesenmeier. Before pregnancy my dr was Fleming. They are my 2 favorites of the group. One thing I just found out is Dr. Fesenmeier is in charge of L&D at Anderson and I feel like I have some crazy sense that because he runs stuff over there I will have a better experience. My Hs cousin sees the midwives and she's on baby number 5 so she must like them!

  • I know I'm in the minority here but thought I'd give you my thoughts..  First I have heard good things about Seven Hills but personally would never, ever go to someone that had me deliver at Mercy Anderson. I have HUGE issues with that hospital, especially their L&D.. I have personally known 2 families who have been forever affected by their lack of knowledge... I wouldn't even go there for stiches.

My good friend used Seven Hills hoping for a good mid wife experience... she ended up being very disappointed because she had to see SO many different midwives that she never felt she had that "midwife personal relationship" I think she had been hoping for (though she said she liked everyone she saw.. )

She was also Team Green and 4 days before she delivered the midwife she saw told her it was a boy by accident Indifferent

So it definitely depends what you are looking for! I go to an OB who has her own practice because I feel very strongly about being with the same Dr my entire pregnancy and having her deliver. I think that's what my friend was hoping for as well.

    Good luck!

  • I use the OBs there and haven't had any experience with the MWs.  My primary doc is Fleming.  Fesenmeier delivered DS and Zabrecky delivered DD.  Both were wonderful experiences.  I would definitely recommend the practice.  Good luck with whatever you decide!

  • I'm a little late to this post but I'll throw my 2 cents in.  I see the doctor's at Seven Hills and Dr. Fleming delivered both of my LOs.  I had a long labor and an unexpected c-section with #1 and then thought about doing a v-bac with #2 (which he totally supported) and then never went into labor so opted for a repeat c-section at 41 weeks.  My experiences with the practice and Mercy Anderson were nothing but wonderful even when things went crazy with my first delivery.  I have nothing but good things to say.

  • I went to Seven Hills for my pregnancy. Dr. Fleming delivered Logan and he was wonderful.  There's only 1 doctor there I don't care for, and thankfully I only saw her once.  I go to Group Health Associates now, but I only left Seven Hills because I'm on a different insurance now.  I love, love, love my new doctor, too, though.
