Ugh-first diaper rash :(

Henry has his first diaper rash and it is getting worse as the day goes on. I usually use pampers sensitive but had some huggies wipes from my shower and didn't want to waste. I started using them yesterday morning and the rash started this morning. That has to be it, right? I'm usually just use Vaseline on him but I just started using butt paste since it's getting progressively worse. Doesn't help that he has shart himself 6 times today. Grrr.

    yuck. have you tried "triple paste"? i've heard that's the best cream for diaper rashes. hope he feels better soon!

    Triple Paste.  There is no substitute.  More expensive - and totally worth it!  Frost his butt with it every diaper change.  Usually soft warm water washcloth wipes until rash is cleared - and ONLY unscented wipes ever after.  Plus put a towel and blanket down as often as possible and let him be nakey - no diaper = no diaper rash.

    Also, make sure he is completely dry before you put the diaper cream on---we swear by Triple Paste in this house.  Secondly, baking soda baths---just soaking his bottom---also work great!

    Triple Paste hands down. If that doesn't work then baking soda baths and the clutch.... Maalox. I know, weird. Put some on a cotton ball and paint on the bum. Blow dry and diaper.

    Definitely triple paste. And use only washcloths and water. I'd skip the wipes, at least for now.

    Thanks girls. I had some triple paste in his closet also from the shower. I just gave him a good bath and let him hang out naked for a while with the triple paste. I threw out those stupid wipes! I'm using gauze wipes and warm water til it clears. Poor pal :(
