Re: What is good at trader joe's?

  • Pretty much everything! My only qualm with Trader Joe's is that you can't rely on their expiration dates, especially for baked goods. We have things go bad before the sell by dates ALL the time. If I didn't love their stuff so much, I'd stop shopping there...

  • They have an awesome freezer section! I loveeee their macaroni and cheese and they have yummy ice cream sandwiches (s'mores and mint choco chip). They have yummy vegetable pot stickers, too. Ohh and the sweet potato gnocchi is great, I serve it with baked chicken or steak. My coworkers rave about their olive oil popcorn but I think it's just ok.

When DD started solids, the freeze dried strawberries and blueberries were a huge hit.

Their dark chocolate peanut butter cups are the best.thing.ever.

Most of these are for adults, but sweet and spicy pecans are fabulous on salads, lots of great cheeses (they were giving samples of one the last time we were in and my DDs were more into that than cookies), apple/carrot pouches, frozen gnocchi and risotto.

  • OMG,everything!

For us:  Orange chicken (frozen), vegetable fried rice (frozen), mushroom ravioli (fresh), olive oil popcorn, mac-n-cheese (frozen), biscotti, chocolate covered peanut butter filled pretzels, ice cream sandwiches, mango sorbet, sweet potato fries (frozen), and only about a million other things.

For the little ones:  applesauce-carrot pouches (I heard today that they also have apple-banana ones), multi-grain cheerios, fruit bars, frozen fruit for smoothies, pirate booty, yogurt, bananas, frozen multi-grain waffles.
