teething and diarrhea?

DD is 4 mths old.. She has had diarrhea since Fri am.  called the pedi and she thinks it be a virus. But I've read in several places that teething can cause diarrhea. Has anyone else experienced this with teething? How long did it last?

Also the blow outs are right during or right after feeding. She has been chewing on her fingers as well.

    E had diarrhea, and he has 4 teeth coming in.  He also had a bad diaper rash.  I think it lasted about a week or so.

    He didn't have any other symptoms - fever, etc.  I would guess the diaper rash and diarrhea were both linked to teething.

    does she have fever, or any other symptoms that indicate its a virus? I read in my Baby411 book that the massive amounts of drooling could possibly cause diarrhea because most of it gets swallowed... I havent experienced this so im not much help.Sad gl!
