PROGESTERONE: what did you do for your FET?

I seem to be "flaring up" again and I now suspect it's the large amounts of progesterone support that just started. Could be the sesame oil in the PIO or prometrium, maybe just the endometrium. Or all three. (yes, I'm on all 3. Dr. Sassy is over-zealous)

I'm curious what "normal" IVF'ers do for P4 support, ESP for a FET. I'd like to drop one (or two) and just monitor my blood. Maybe switch BACK to PIO in ethyl oleate, in case it's the sesame oil. (although that sucks, sesame makes for a MUCH less lumpy arse)

Im on endometrin 100mg 3x a day and day of FET they call you and give you a specific time for one 200mg suppository. Fingers crossed for you

All 3 sounds like overkill. I did Crinone twice a day...of course my FET didn't end well but I don't attribute it to that as my fresh cycle was crinone as well.

1cc of PIO in the morning and 1cc at night. 2 injections a day.

Just pio 1x a day. They monitored bw, bumped the dose at some point. Maybe try cottonseed oil? Hurt my butt less than ethyl oleate.

I did PIO 2cc(?) in the evening plus prometrium 3 times a day (until I started having an allergic reaction and had a lovely rash on the insides of my thighs after being on it for a couple weeks and then switched to endometrium 2 times a day).

ok, it's officially overkill, Dr. Sassy.

I knew he was going to be out of town this week, and knew HE would want to make any changes, so I paged the oncall nurse this AM. Got the good one I wanted, explained my issue, she didn't quite know what to do, but I asked her to see if we could cut this p4 crap in half, and test mid-next week.

Don't make me go rogue, Sassy. Don't make me go rogue. ;-)

(any other doses welcome, they don't even do testing between transfer and beta, so this is good info to pass on. Just goes to show you that great clinics with KILLER stats can do something totally opposite of others, and it usually doesn't matter)

As long as I'm asking...

If you have your "between transfer and beta" test results handy, what day did you do them, and what were the results? (i.e. what's normal draw day and levels?)

Well, I just happen to have my handy dandy MT reference guide right here, lol.

For the last cycle (c/p), on 6 dpER, 3dp3dt my P4 was 80, E2 was 1,332. She said these were good levels. I was on PIO 50 mg BID and estrace (vag) 2mg BID. Added P4 suppositiories BID after BFP.

With DS's cycle, the meds were the same. E2 was 2,000, P4 was 124. She said they were looking for an E2 >500 and P4 >25. Not sure what day these were drawn, but it was sometime between ET and beta.

These levels may be different with a FET cycle, but wanted to give you the info. in case. GL!

I always have a p4/e2 test 7 days past transfer. P4 is usually around 11.

2 cc's of PIO one time per day from 3 days before transfer until 12 weeks. Good luck!

Also, my P4 was checked at 7dp3dt and it was 20something... after beta it was checked and bounced from 25-60+, oddly...

I started with 1cc of pio (ethyl olate) then the next day 2cc. I stoped that after the transfer and switched to one Crinone two times a day (8 g). If I could walk after each pio shot, I probably would have stuck with it. Hope you find some relief!
