  I'm so excited about this, I think it really may happen this time. I feel like some people are finally starting to actually think about what is right. There are so many good quotes coming out of this. I can't remember (or find) the quote, but one of the Republicans stated that there was no difference between Jews & Christians marrying, or of Blacks & whites marrying, so if we can't ban marriage based on religion or race, sexuality certainly shouldn't matter.

  Daniel O'Donnell had a really great quote highlighting the number of times some assembly members have been married, while he can't marry because it's against the law, then said "If you want to believe in a book and that God tells you what to think, knock yourself out," said Assemblyman Daniel O'Donnell, the bill's sponsor in the Assembly and brother of entertainer Rosie O'Donnell. "But do not throw that book in my face.

  Can't find the whole quote, but it was serious and snarky all in one. All this wholesome Christianity BS drives me nuts - saying that gay men and women shouldn't marry because it's an abomination and morally reprehensible, meanwhile we have Weiner emailing pictures of his penis, Spitzer hooking up with hookers... Oh right. I forgot, it;s oaky because they were slutting around with the opposite sex, which is completely okay. My bad.  

  Sorry, it just kills me that I can marry whomever I want however many times I want because I choose to marry a member of the opposite sex, yet if I wanted to marry a woman I couldn't.
