Glucose test

Why in the world did they schedule my test at 2 in the afternoon??  Now i have to wait until Monday for the results!!!  AGH!

    Did you eat protein before hand? My doctor says protein only is fine, the lab says I need to fast...I'm going to trust my doctor on this one, but I was curious.Thanks!

    TchrJen - My doctors told me not to do anything differently. To eat as I normally would. They said they wanted my body functioning as normal.

    I'd go with whatever your doctor said, since he/she will be interpreting the results, but that's your call.

    I did things as normal and passed just fine.

    Ok thanks- I'm afraid I'm not going to stay conscious if I don't eat beforehand, so I'm totally going with that!

    My doctor said not to do anything different also.  She did say to leave out the orange juice with breakfast though!
