When you dress your LO (infants) in a shirt, not a onsie, do you put a onsie under it? DS is wearing a polo shirt today and I didn't know what most people do.
So, I think I'm an oddball - I do, because I personally am not a fan of seeing his belly/ diaper hanging out. DS is tall, so shirts don't overlap his pants very much, plus, he's obsessed with pulling the hem up to his face. For this reason he very rarely wears shirts (vs onesies) at all!! I think he's only had, like, 3 or 4 ever, and that's only been since we've had to start buying 18 month clothes because onesies are so freaking hard to find. . . anyway!!
Funny story - there's a little boy in his daycare class who only wears shirts. The other day, the little boy pulled his shirt up so that his belly was visible. Apparently DS went nuts (had he never seen a belly before?!), squeeled!, ran over!, and started giving zerberts to his belly! The teacher pulled him away, of course, but DS spent the rest of the day walking up to the other litlte boy with his finger pointed, trying to put it in the poor little boy's belly button. What a weirdo!!
I never do, even in the winter unless he was going to be outside for a while. His daycare room is warmer than our house so I worry about him getting too hot. Now that it's summer I actually prefer shirts over onsies because I feel like he will stay cooler when he plays outside at daycare. Last summer he almost always wore onsies because I didn't like his shirt coming up all the time, but when he did wear a shirt I didn't put a onsie under it.
It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!

We put one underneath because I hate seeing his belly hang out. Sometimes I'll keep it off if we are staying at home. But when we go out I always put a onesie on. Also can save his outfit at times if he has a blow out! If it's too hot for two shirts, then he goes out in a s/s romper anyway.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the belly / diaper hanging out but I do think he'll get too hot if I do a onsie too.
