Remind Me How Many Diapers I Need

I am trying to build my diaper stash CHEAPLY before baby #2 arrives and I cannot remember what a good stock of diapers is for Sizes N and 1. Even though my son was 8 1/2 lbs, I know we still spent a month to a month and a half in newborn sizes and I didn't have enough on hand.

    We went thru close to 300 NB diapers and well over 500 size 1 diapers.  So divide by 2. :)

    My boys were born at 6lbs each so a tad on the smaller side.

    Me: PCOs DH: Perfect!
    4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!

    DD was 8lbs 3oz and we only used newborn for 1-2 weeks (until her cord stump fell off) and size 1 for another 2 weeks or so.  I ended up having so many small diapers left over so I wouldnt stock up too much!  I feel like you can always run out to buy an extra pack if you need one but having too many diapers is such a waste.  I absolutely hate throwing out unused diapers!

    Caroline was exactly one month old when we switched from NB to size 1s.  She was 8 lbs 4 oz. 

    My plan for this baby is to stock up on size one's as cheap as I can, and then get a big box of NB diapes to tide us over.  I figure my DH can run out and get more NB diapers if we need them...I hate throwing diapers away, so I don't want to have too many on hand.

    We had no N size diapers at all before DS was born and it was a blessing since he was 10 lbs.  I just recently found my list of the stash of things we had before his birth and it looks like we had two cases of Pampers size 1 (total of 400+), a case of Luvs size 1 (225+), and a case of BJ's brand size 1-2 (about 180).  I want to say that we didn't open the BJ's box until after he started daycare at 8 weeks old, we used one sleeve of Luvs and DH didn't like them so those also went to daycare too and I think we bought more diapers around a month to 6 weeks old.  I can't quite remember when it was.  It was around the same time I went out to buy clothing since I was getting the itch for him to actually wear some blue since we didn't find out what he was prior to being born. 

    I think it was in the Girlfriend's Guide that I read a good stash is 600 diapers for the first six weeks and that is what we did and it worked for us.
