Does anyone have this? It seems expensive and I wonder if it will work well for DS (to keep him in his bed till a reasonable time). Plus the sun/moon faces are kind of creepy. Anyone know of a similar product or a knock off?
We got this clock... in part because I thought the good night light would scare DS (it is creepy!). This is the BEST thing we have bought in a long time! DS is not allowed to get out of bed until the rabbit on the clock wakes up... and it WORKS! He was always a 5:30 riser and now he is in the big boy bed and sleeps until at least 7am! I highly reccommend it!
We LOVE the good nite lite...with modifications. We set the "moon" to come on at 6:59 a.m. and the "sun" to come on at 7:00 a.m. as our DS just WOULD NOT sleep with the (yes, slightly creepy and WAY too bright) blue moon on. On the other hand, the sun is way less creepy and he loves it. Every morning we wake up to "Mommy, Daddy, the sun is orange! Mommy, Daddy, the sun is ORANGE!!" repeated until we make it into his room. If he wakes up before 7, he hangs out in his bed until it is orange. Kind of amazing for us. (it took less than a week for him to figure it out)
My friend has this for her daughter. She said it worked great! I don't have it, nor am I getting one, cause my boys are old enough to know when to get up. I haven't seen anything similar to it.
We have the Good Nite light. It worked great for our older boys and now I need to use it for our two year old. The moon face is creepy but it didn't seem to bother the boys. I hope it works as well for our LO!

DS#3 - Allergic to Milk, Egg, Peanut, Tree Nuts and Sesame
I bought it from Barnes and Noble for a bit cheaper than amazon.
I love that it has an actual clock face and shows the digital time. You press the right 'foot' and the clock tells you what time it is... my daughter loves that! You set it so that it turns green at wake up time and my daughter stays in bed until her light is green. It was the best $35 bucks I've spent.
I have the Teach Me Time clock for both of my girls and have had them about 2 years. It was around $30 on Amazon when I got them. They are awesome. You can set the clock to turn green at a certain time (I have mine stay on for about 2 hours later if they sleep in). It took my kids a few days to get it - if they came out of their room before the clock was green, they were sent back. The girls now know that they can wake up, only leave their room to go potty or some other emergency and otherwise must stay in their room doing something quiet. Works likes a charm!!!!
