We originally got a coil mattress from BRU but the plastic cracked so we just exchanged it last week for a foam one. The foam one is so much lighter! I could barely lift the coil one. We got a Stearns and Foster one. It's on sale at BRU for $199.

The Sealy Soybean Foam Core. I got it on Amazon.com for $95 and free shipping.
This one. I got it from amazon too. Also if you are part of amazon mom buying it with a piddly $5 baby item will extend your benefits by 4 months. (since they "measure" in increments of $25
A used one (pretty sure it's simmons). It was free with our used crib.
*gasp!* The horror!!
My LO is reusing her sister's. I think it's a serta, or a simmons. It's not organic either. Her sister only used it about 20 months and we kept it clean.
Moonlight Slumber Little Dreamer... it was the cheapest foam one from a brand I'd heard of at our furniture store, and we got $100 off our crib if we bought the mattress with it. I think it's one of the highest rated in the new Baby Bargains as well.

A simmons beautyrest (I think), It's light green. It sounds like a big persons mattress, lol. The only downside is its heavy. Not something I ever considered until I tried to put a sheet on it.. wish I went with something foam now.
I just sent DH to buy it for me while I had a shopping day with my mom., and thats what he came home with.
Re: crib mattresses (done to death)
I heard it drops on Fridays, but I've been watching for two weeks and haven't seen that happen...
I'm still debating between the Sealy and the Colgate Classica 1 (more expensive, but that's what DD has and we are happy with it).

I was debating between the Sealy Soybean Foam Core and the Colgate Classica III. MIL ended up ordering us the Colgate (We haven't received it yet.)
The Sealy hasn't been below 110 in a while.
If you ever want to see the price history of an item on Amazon, www.mypricetrack.com is a fantastic website!

I definitely wanted a foam mattress - the innerspring are SO heavy to lift when changing sheets!
