Eco-Friendly Family

little vent?

Sorry, I can't on fb.  Plus I'm not sure I can be that passive aggressive (even when other people are)

So I don't have a great relationship with my dad's side of the family.  Partially because he never wanted relationship with them, so we just aren't close.  Partially because of the distance.  Well now that my dad is out of all of our lives (very long story) his family still wants to be involved in our lives.  Totally fine.

Except I'm horrible at keeping up, and they are all kinda... needy.  So with chasing a 1 year old, being pregnant, and anemic I have had a really hard time keeping up.  With anyone! Family, extended family, or friends.

I got a "have we done anything to make you mad? We love you so much, please talk to us" email yesterday. Took a full day for me to not respond sarcastically (pregnancy hormones much?).  Well today my cousin posted something passive aggressive pretty obvisously about me.  So now I'm kinda frustrated I took the time to reply nicely to the email.

If you read all of this you are amazing.  Especially since I know most of this is my hormones getting the best of me.

  • Well you showed more restraint then some would, you said you waited a whole day to keep from sending sarcastic reply lol Sounds like they just care about you and all, I wouldn't let your one cousin's remark get to you.. Especially if they did it intentionally knowing you would be reading it ;] some people are just like that

  • Your cousin's passive aggressiveness would've irritated me and I would've probably responded with something not so nice, but my filter has started going away since I'm tired of dealing with stupid crap like that.

  • {{hugs}}  I totally get it.  I find that I have very limited energy these days and it basically goes to keeping DS alive, keeping myself from getting fired, and trying to still maintain a good relationship with my husband (that's perhaps a bit overdramatic but you know what I mean).  It stinks when people don't get it.

  • Hugs   The way ppl word things sometimes sucks.  A little e-mail to check, to see how your doing and if you need help would have been much nicer.

    Hope it gets better.

  • Thanks ladies. I'm over it today. I had a really tough couple if days and that was just the icing on the cake. Plus I hate passive-aggressive comments.
