I am going to start handing out throat punches.

If one more effing person says something like "I am praying for you guys to get a job here, so you aren't go long"  or something along those lines.

It is like they are setting us up for failure.

    Eight years later and my family still holds a slight grudge with DH because he "moved us so far away." Granted, initially our move was for 2 years for him to go to grad school, but then I got an awesome job so we stayed.

    People suck sometimes. I hope they pull their heads out soon; try and focus on them just wanting you close to them - it isn't necessarily about you all coming back due to failure.

    edit - I think I misread the last part - if there really is a God and he really does answers prayers like that he can kiss my ass. Ugh.

    This made me giggle.  I almost want to reply with "Well God doesn't give you more than you can handle, so you can handle us not living here anymore."

    I can't imagine living so far away from family, dealing with doing everything completely on our own, AND having them give us crap for it.  It's hard enough when they're supportive.
