Well, I'm clearly not going to handle the daddy stages well...

I'm currently drinking a beer and pouting as DH puts DS to bed. The reason? I decided I didn't want to put him to bed after he threw a temper tantrum at dinner and only wanted his Pap... It's the first time he has ever chosen someone over me... Mama needs to soothe her ruffled feathers... I'm ridiculous.

    A good friend warned me about those stages, but I still don't like them. Little boys always come back to their mamas though, and there will be a time (she assures me) where he'll exhaust you wanting to have you play with him all the time, etc. :)

    Yeah...it's SUPER hard when he prefers daddy. As everyone said, it goes back and forth in stages.

    aww--i know i will be exactly the same way! it's tough. i don't like to admit it but it is a wonderful feeling knowing that i'm DS's favorite, so i'm sure i'll have  a hard time of it when i'm not his favorite anymore!

    Paige goes through phases.  After I had the babies, she wanted NOTHING to do with me and cried for daddy 24/7.  It broke my heart.  But she came around : )

    I'm sure you're feeling a bit sad, but try to enjoy your time! DD will only go to sleep for me and I get so jealous when I come back after a one hour routine and DH is sitting on the couch stretched out, watching TV, and eating ice cream!
