  I have a friend who does this.  I think she trifolds the diapers into the covers.

  We tried this but it didn't work...always leaked out the sides! Maybe the prefolds were just the wrong size or we were folding wrong...but I never had problems with other covers and prefolds. Just the Gdiapers. I ended up selling all of the covers because I didn't like them.

  I did that with a prefold and a GroVia shell.  It worked well enough but took some skill to stuff it all in there and make sure no pf was hanging out.  It's worth a try.

  The inside of the gdiaper has a weird waterproof thing that sits in there. I can't tell if the cover is also waterproof. I have orange edge gmd's so hopefully I can use them. A friend got them for me and she's excited about me using them so I don't feel like I can return them. I figure at least I can give my opinion on the dipes at some point. I generally haven't heard great things about gdiapers (which is why I never purchased them) but I know people like their disposable inserts.

  We've done this, and generally use gdiapers with homemade cloth liners rather than the gcloth. I really like them. The covers themselves aren't waterproof, it's just the little plastic liner that's waterproof.
