Birth announcements - such a thing?

I am hoping to pre-set up some birth announcements (online I'm assuming) so that all I add after he's born is details (weight, date) and then a picture.  bonus if the company sends them to addresses I put in their database too (I suck at going to the post office!)

cheaper is always better...we're a one income family for the time being...

Does such a thing exist?

  • You could always do vistaprint, don't know how cheap they are though.

TinyPrints is NOT cheap, but cute! :)

If you are a member Costco is great, too!

  • I think Shutterfly might even let you give them the addresses to send.   And I'm sure there are etsy sellers that will set it all up for you...

  • Yep, super common and Shutterfly does a great job of that - with direct mail. We set up ours 95% in advance as well.

Vistaprint is inexpensive. I used them for some wedding stuff, and have purchased marketing materials for work in the past. The quality is good and the website is easy to use.

  • I would do Costco if you have a membership. I did shutterfly and they turned out horrible. They did refund my $ but it was a pain in the butt.

  • I don't think Costco mails them for you, but they are SUPER cheap. 50 cards for $14.99 and it's like 5.99 for each set of 25 after that. I use them for all of my photo cards. They always turn out well.

  • The only thing with Costco is that it's on photo paper, not printed on cardstock like a card.   It's your call if you like that.  I prefer printed on cardstock.   I've had some great luck with both Vista Print and Shutterfly.

  • I have used Photoaffections.com acouple times and love them.  They are on photo paper but it's thicker then costco.  They have a lot of great choices and send you a proof before finializing the order.  They also usually have a discount/sale going on.
