Father's Day

What are you guys' plan?

DH has to go out of town for the weekend (what kind of conference people are these to schedule one on the weekend of Father's Day?? I guess it's a peek into his future as a researcher lol), sooo it'll just be me and LO for the weekend. We will visit my Dad but that's it. I didn't get my Dad anything yet. I got DH some shape ups and a new grilling tool set (with the case, hint) lol.

    I'm letting him sleep in as late as he wants and getting him a bottle of expensive scotch he likes and never buys for himself.

    I think I'll make homemade pizza, which sounds weird but it's his favorite.

    It kind of stinks because even though it's my H's first Father's Day - we still need to celebrate with our own Dads...so he'll get the kind of Mother's Day I had - tons of driving and visiting. We have at least 2 maybe 3 places to go to. The first one is 45 minutes from our house and we have to be there at 11:30!

    Oh well...

    I'm going to let him sleep in late, make banana pancakes for breakfast- his favorite, and BLT's for lunch- also a favorite. I've made a cheesy youtube video for him with all these pictures of him and the boys and a song. I'll post that to his facebook after he wakes up so it will be a surprise. We'll probably go to dinner with his parents. I haven't even gotten my dad a card, so it looks like an ecard for him. :(

    DH has a 4 day weekend! We're going to Jimmy John's on Friday (I know sandwiches don't sound very exciting, but it's 25 mins from our house so we don't get to go very often), and then I have a Groupon for a gelato place for dessert. We *might* go to the pool too, but I'm not sure if I want to do the whole bathing suit/swimming/getting everything ready thing twice in two days... We're going to the beach on Saturday with his coworker and his wife and another couple. The rest of the weekend will probably be pretty chill, because that's how he likes it.

    I got him a BluRay (007 Quantum of Solace) and a CD. I got my dad a personalized metal water jug with a pic of him, me, and DD on it. We got FIL a coffee mug with pics of A on it, and it says "I Love Grandpa".

    H doesn't want to do _anything_. Not because he doesn't want to, but we're taking a trip home and he's worried about the expense (even though I have a nice little fund so we don't have to worry about it...) of the whole thing. It's less than a week home, split between his family and mine... : I'll probably drag him to Texas Roadhouse and give him some margaritas (oddly, his fave drink). I was going to print off the pic in my siggy and frame it, then set it by the computer desk where he always sits... but he said no because of the cost of the picture! What a cheapass!!

    I asked him what he wants to do and he said "sleep and do nothing" so that's the plan...I will entertain LO all day and let him call the shots.  No gifts (tight budget) but I got him a card from me and one from LO.

    We're going to brunch with his family and dinner with mine.  I'm thinking I'll get him a blue ray player with wi-fi because that's what he's been wanting.

    My sister and I both have the Samsung one, it has wifi, you tube, pandora, blockbuster, netflix, etc. We love it and haven't had any issue with it such as using international DVDs and bootlegs lol. I think Costco has it for $90 if you haven't chosen one yet, we'd all definitely recommend it!

    This is what I asked for Mother's Day. It was awesome, all I did was nurse and DH cleaned up the apt and picked up after me... lol
