Anyone else fail their 1 hour glucose test with a 135??

in 3rd Trimester

I am not happy about having to get this stupid 3 hour test tomorrow.  I've tried to take it easy on the sweets and carbs for the past day so I don't have an issue tomorrow.

 Has anyone else failed with a 135 and then failed the 3 hour test?   JW

 BTW my doctors cut off number is 129, which by reading posts and blogs...seems pretty freakin low.

    That seems pretty low.  My doctors cut off was 140... and I failed it with a 142.  Of course, now that I am having to monitor my sugars my high end cut off is 120 so maybe that's where your doc gets the 129 from.

    My dr cut off at 140 and I failed with a 143 and then passed the 3 hour.

    I got a 140, and then passed 3 hour. I promise the 3-hour isn't hell on earth, I didn't feel sick or faint or throw up. Frankly, I wasn't even hungry even though I hadn't eaten in 15 hours. Try to go first thing in the morning and just get it over with.

    I also thought the 3-hour drink tasted significantly better. LOL

    I too failed the 1 hour with either a 135 or a 137.  I think my dr cut off was 130.  I feel like I took that test sooo long ago and I'm having trouble remembering the exact numbers.  However I passed the 3-hr with flying colors. 

    Be sure to take something with you to do, since you get to sit there for all 3 hours.  :)

    My Dr.'s cut off was 135 and I failed with 148. I did the 3hr. and while it was not fun getting blood drawn 4 times in 3 hours, I did pass, so all is well. good luck!

    I failed the 1 hour. no sure by how much though.  It probably wasn't so smart going week of Halloween with all those leftovers!!  But i am going again on Monday for my 3 hour. I didn't know they take blood 4x, is that true?

    About2bgold-  Yes, it is true.  They take an itial blood test when you get there, and then give you 100mg of the glucola, and then they'll take your blood every hour for 3 hours following.   By the way...I have a feeling having a bucket of halloween candy sitting on my coffee table all week last week wasn't the best idea either!

    I failed with a 139 (my doctor's cut off was 130) and then passed the 3 hour with flying colors.  My advice is go early in the morning (less people) and take a book or a laptop with a movie and earphones.  Makes the time go by faster.

    My dr.'s cut off was also 129 and I failed with a 133....I passed the three hour easily and you probably will too....over 80% of women who fail the one hour pass the three.  Good luck!

    I failed with a 136, my doctors cut-off is 130. I passed the 3 hours with flying colors though.

    I failed with a 131. My dr's cutoff is 129 too.  I scheduled the 3 HR for two weeks later and prepped 3 days before the test by upping my carb intake.  I passed the 3 HR with no problems at all.

    There are a lot of factors...apparenty the week you do the test could affect your results too.

    My doctor's cutoff is 135.  I got a 154, but passed the 3 hour test.

    Those are good statistics :) I've got my movie all set on laptop!  Hopefully it will go by quick.
