Why does this matter? Isaiah is a wonderful name regardless of the ethnicity of the child/parents. Unless it's with an obviously ethnic middle or last name, then I don't think that any assumptions (negative or positive) would be made about this child...
I don't know any Isaiahs in real life - which I sort of funny because I grew up in a super large Jewish community, went to Jewish sleep away camp my entire life, and now live in a fairly Jewish area.
With that being said I normally associate it with African-American people because the only people I know of are:
1. Isaiah Thomas; and
2. The movie, Losing Isaiah with Halle Berry.
Now if I knew other people with that name I'm sure I would have a different association. I also don't think my association is normal and I doubt most people think the way that I do.
