Off BC next month...maybe ? ?

My DH and I have struggled with when we want to try for #2. I'm a SAHM that has a 1 year old and does in home childcare, currently just watch a 4 year old. My DH has a secure job as a police officer. We want more children, we want our kids close in age, and we have the resources to have another. Yet, we struggle because his friends aren't having kids yet and he thinks that we will be so far ahead of them that we wont hang out anymore. I don't really need advice because in the end we will do what is right for us, but I would like to know if anyone struggled with this, or had 2 under 2 and wished they would've waited??

    I can't say that my decision to have 2u2 was influenced in any way by what others were doing.

    I am so glad we didnt wait. As crazy as it sounds, I wish we did it a few months closer together!

    I hear you. I have two kids and most of my friends are done at 2...so I am afriad that when we have more kids we will be kind of the odd men out. KWIM? 

    Anyway, we never let others influence us in #2. I love having ours close, they are very sweet together.

    Our having 2 under 2 was...a surprise! but I wouldn't change it for the world.

    If none of your friends have children, you'll definitely miss out on some of the things they choose to do. But it also opens a door for you to meet other adults with kids your age & relate to them!

    None of our friends have kids either so obviously that had no bearing on our decision.

    I'm glad we didn't wait. I think we'll have the perfect spacing between the girls (about 18 months). We'll most likely try for 3u3 within the next year as well.
